Elves are a difficult enemy - all their units, except for siege equipment, have a unique trait. Each of the elven units can move in the forests as if they were empty hexas. Because of this, elves are an unpredictable enemy. You are often forced to change tactics and stop using solutions that helped you when you faced other factions.

Elves like to use Archers, but you often encounter other types of units, especially long-range ones.

During most missions, their armies consist of 80% archers (Elven scouts). They will flood you with these units. To counter them, you will need fast cavalry units (if there are a lot of open spaces on the map) or infantry (a significant reduction in ranged damage). Catapults are also useful (one attack in an open area is usually enough to destroy a squad), the same goes for magicians (freeze).

Sometimes you will meet their infantry, Shadow Warriors. This unit uses melee attacks and has pretty good characteristics - good damage reduction, a lot of health points and can move freely in forests. Elf Mage works as usual - great reach and the ability to ignore surrounding obstacles. Also, these Mages can weaken enemy units for 10 moves. This ability reduces the damage to the attacking unit. In most cases, the elves attack the strongest unit. Because of this, you should always focus on eliminating their magicians first. Usually the enemy uses a small number of magicians, and they only appear in certain missions.

The Healer is a unique unit of this army. Currently, this is the only unit in the game that can heal others (both regular units and machines). The Healer cannot attack and is extremely vulnerable to ranged and melee attacks. This unit cannot participate in battles, it can only treat allies. The elves also have siege equipment - Ballista and Scorpion. They're slow, they can't move and attack in the same turn, but they have a fantastic range and they do a lot of damage. Always check their reach before making a move. The Scorpion has no minimum reach, which means you have to destroy this unit in one turn.

The Dwarf army doesn't have mages, but they do have a wide variety of units and siege weapons. Shooters are similar to archers from other armies. The disadvantage is their weakness (only 2 hex), but they can move and attack within one turn. In addition, their attacks can penetrate armor (they ignore damage reduction bonuses). A cannon is a typical siege equipment (equivalent to a catapult). Hellfire has a short reach (from 1 to 4 hexes), but deals huge damage. The range of the mortar is smaller than that of the cannon, but it ignores environmental obstacles, which is very important during a siege or fighting in the woods.

Another advantage of these units is that teleporting them to the battlefield is cheaper. You can spend these extra points on scrolls and potions or recruit other units. Take a look at the Templar catapult - it deals 130 damage (!) And has a better reach than a regular catapult (8 hexes versus 6 or 7 after upgrading a regular catapult). Knights Templar (Cavalry) also have more health points, deal more damage, and reduce ranged damage by 80%. find out if is using macros cheating in fortnite
